Let us wait together for the sequels.

The entire film 'Dune Part 1' is an adaptation of the novel 'Dune' written by Frank Herbert. However, this film covers only half of the first book of 'Dune.' Therefore, there are many mysteries and stories yet to be unfolded.

The final scene depicts them traveling through the desert.

After the fight, they all agreed to bring Jessica and Paul with them. However, Jessica suggested to Paul that they didn't need to accompany the group. She proposed that they could use their help to reconnect with their people and return to Caladan. Paul disagreed with his mother, stating that his father hadn't come to Arrakis for spice, but for the people. He felt it was his responsibility to help them, so his chosen path was to remain in the desert.

As they continued their journey through the desert, Jessica and Paul witnessed a Fremen riding a giant sandworm, a sight they had only read about in books.

(Actually, this Jamis is the person who appeared in Paul's mind when he was flying in the Ornithopter through the storm, and who shared an idea with him to escape from the storm)

Suddenly, Stilgar intervened, stating that the amtal rule doesn't allow for surrender; one combatant must die. Despite this, Paul continued to dominate the fight. Everyone was surprised, as Jamis was known as a skilled fighter among their group. Paul, unwilling to kill him as he hadn't yet killed anyone, found himself in a dilemma. However, according to the amtal rule, one needed to die. With no other option, Paul stabbed Jamis, killing him. The outcome shocked everyone.

Suddenly, Paul's mind received another visual that he was failing in this fight.

The girl approached him and said, 'I am not trusting that you're Lisan-al-gaib or the chosen one, but you need to die proudly.' Then she gave him her knife, called a 'Crysknife,' which was actually made with the teeth of sandworms. It's very sacred to them.

They both started fighting. As the fight continued, both demonstrated skill, but Jamis grew tired, and Paul managed to place the knife at his neck, asking him to surrender.

So basically, here Jamis called for a duel. But Stilgar said, 'Jamis, it's already dark, and you're calling a woman to fight; it's not right.' Jamis asked, 'Then who will come instead of her?' Suddenly, Paul stepped forward.

Suddenly, the girl turned to them and said,

"This is only the beginning"...

AMTAL

"Amtal" refers to the Amtal Rule, a brutal practice on unforgiving worlds. It essentially means "testing to destruction." This rule dictates that something, whether an object, an individual, or even a concept, is pushed to its absolute limits to reveal its true nature and any hidden weaknesses. We see the Amtal Rule most clearly among the Fremen, the inhabitants of the harsh desert planet Arrakis. They utilize it to settle disputes through deadly challenges like the tahaddi, a knife fight to the death. The Amtal Rule reflects the harsh realities of Arrakis, where survival hinges on strength and self-reliance. It also emphasizes the idea that something's true definition can only be found by pushing it to its breaking point.
